This constituency is the largest in Manitoba, sprawling over the northeastern and east regions of Manitoba. The approximate population of the constituency in 2008 was 15,600. It is a new constituency that has had little change from its predecessor, Rupertsland. This area was previously represented by Eric Robinson (New Democratic Party) who has been elected since 1993.
