This constituency is located in the central portion of Winnipeg. The population of the constituency in 2008 was 20,900. It is largely unchanged from the previous constituency of the same name, except that it now extends several blocks further south to Harrowby Ave, which was previous in the St. Vital boundaries. This area was previously represented by Greg Selinger (New Democratic Party) in St. Boniface since 1999 and by Nancy Allan (New Democratic Party) in St. Vital since 1999.
