Questionnaire Response
Flor Marcelino - Logan
Why did you decide to run in the 2011 Manitoba election?
Community service was ingrained in me at an early age and it means a lot to me. NDP policies and programs resonate with my values and beliefs of improving the quality of life for working people and the marginalized members of our society. So, I want to continue working for the community.
What experience will you bring to compliment your role as MLA?
Logan is a highly diverse community comprised of First Nations peoples, immigrants from all parts of the world, multi-age groups and working-class families. I have lived and worked in this neighbourhood and I am familiar with the challenges and opportunities of moving to a new country and working to raise a family. I want to continue finding solutions to issues and problems faced by the community, and I want to highlight the great achievements community organizations have already made in our neighbourhoods.
Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?
Logan has one of the lowest family income levels in the province, affordable daycare and housing, and safety in the neighbourhood.
Our questionnaire procedures can be found in our FAQ.
