Questionnaire Response
James Allum - Fort Garry-Riverview
Why did you decide to run in the 2011 Manitoba election?
This is a new constituency, and I will ensure it has a strong voice. I will bring the issues that families care about to the table. Issues like health care, affordable housing, sustainable infrastructure, strong schools, more child care, vibrant community spaces, and support for our seniors.
What experience will you bring to compliment your role as MLA?
I am a well educated and experienced educator, public servant, and community activist with strong roots in Fort Garry-Riverview. I live in this constituency, my kids went to the local schools and my family was active in numerous community sports, recreation, and cultural activities. I have a strong record of community activism as a volunteer, as a hockey and soccer coach, and as a community club board member.
Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?
Health care, more energy efficient housing, enhance community safety and more child care spaces.
