Fort Garry-Riverview
This constituency is located in the south central portion of Winnipeg. The population of the constituency in 2008 was 20,400. It is a new constituency created with portions of the former Fort Garry and Lord Roberts constituencies. The northern boundary includes Taylor Ave from Waverley Street to Wilton Street, Carter Avenue from Wilton Street to the CNR rail line, and from the CNR rail line to the Red River along Mulvey Ave. The south boundary follows Bishop Grandin Blvd between Waverley Street and the CNR rail line, and follows Chevrier Blvd and Crescent Drive between the CNR rail line and South Drive. The west boundary is Waverley Street and the east boundary is the Red River. This area was previously represented by Kerri Irvin-Ross (New Democratic Party) in Fort Garry since 2003 and by Diane McGifford (New Democratic Party) in Lord Roberts since 1995.
