Questionnaire Response

Trevor Mueller - St. Johns

Why did you decide to run in the 2011 Manitoba election?

The reason I decided to run is not a happy reason. In a six month time period I had attended three funerals, all males between the ages of 21 to 24. They lost their lives because they got involved in drugs. I saw how the system (our current government) had failed these three young men, and vowed that I would stand up and make a difference. I have also seen how the system has failed children like Pheonix Sinclair, and many others, I cannot tolerate this and we cannot allow this to continue.

What experience will you bring to compliment your role as MLA?

I have worked a number of years in different roles helping people solve their problems, is that not what government should be about?

Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?

There are many changes that need to be made in out Health Care System, Child and Family Services, Crime Prevention, Education and Family Care

What is one thing you stand for that is not a part of your political party's platform?

I would like to make Manitoba a more pet friendly province. We have too many pets being put in shelters and rescues because a lot of apartments and rentals are not pet friendly.

Do you have any other comments regarding your candidacy?

It is time for a change in St. Johns, and in Manitoba. Under the NDP crime has gotten totally out of control. We need to be proactive and not reactive. Child and Family Service is in a shambles and is not protecting children!

What is your favourite location in the electoral division you are currently a candidate for?

I cannot pick just one favorite location. St. Johns and the north end is so full of culture, community centers and parks. Anything that is good for the community is a favorite of mine.
