This constituency is located in the southwest portion of Manitoba. The population of the region in 2008 was 20,400. Spruce Woods is a new constituency made up of Turtle Mountain and Minnedosa. This area was previously represented by Cliff Cullen (Progressive Conservative Party) in Turtle Mountain, elected since 2004; and Leanne Rowat (Progressive Conservative Party) in Minnedosa, elected since 2003.
