This constituency is located in the southern portion of Manitoba. Its population in 2008 was 20,800. It is a new constituency covering most of the former Ste. Rose constituency and a portion of the Turtle Mountain constituency. Agassiz was previously represented by Stu Briese (Progressive Conservative Party) in Ste. Rose since 2007, and by Cliff Cullen (Progressive Conservative Party) in Turtle Mountain since 2004.
