This constituency is located in the southern region of Manitoba. The population of the constituency in 2008 was 19,500. It is a new constituency that includes the northeast corner of the former Pembina constituency. This area was previously represented by Peter George Dyck (Progressive Conservative Party) who was first elected in 1995.
