This constituency is located in southern Winnipeg. The population of the constituency in 2008 was 19,200. Its border no longer includes the portion north of Warde Ave. and Burland Ave. west of Dakota Street, and is now extended north from Novavista Drive to Meadowood Drive, east of Dakota Street, which was previously in Riel. This area was previously represented by Theresa Oswald (New Democratic Party), who was first elected in 2003.
