River Heights

River Heights is a south-central Winnipeg constituency. The population of the constituency in 2008 was 20,600. The new boundaries include most of the Grant Park neighbourhood in the south east, which was previously in Lord Roberts. The east side has contracted a couple blocks to the west. The west side has contracted a few blocks to the east south of Kingsway and has expanded a couple blocks to the west north of Kingsway into what was formerly in Tuxedo. The area was previously represented by Jon Gerrard (Liberal Party) in River Heights since 1999; by Diane McGifford (New Democratic Party) in Lord Roberts since 1995; and by Heather Stefanson (Progressive Conservative Party) in Tuxedo since 2000.
