Point Douglas
This constituency is located in the north central part of Winnipeg. The population of the constituency in 2008 was 20, 300. The new boundaries no longer include the Exchange District area south of the CPR tracks and west of Main Street. The boundaries have been extended to the north to Church Ave into the former St. Johns boundaries, and to the east to Sinclair Street into the former Burrows boundaries. This area was previously represented by George Hickes (New Democratic Party) in Point Douglas since 1990; by Gord Mackintosh (New Democratic Party) in St. Johns since 1993; and by Doug Martindale (New Democratic Party) in Burrows since 1990.
