Questionnaire Response

Erin Selby - Southdale

Why did you decide to run in the 2011 Manitoba election?

After spending 10 years as a TV journalist watching other people tackle the issues, I wanted to get off the sidelines and get more involved helping my community.

What experience will you bring to compliment your role as MLA?

I've been a strong advocate for Southdale. We've funded the community centre expansion, a path for kids to get to school, and a fire hall. Now we're building two child-care centres and a school.

Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?

We need to keep building child-care spaces, recreation facilities, and new classrooms for our growing community. Investments in health care that continue to reduce waitlists are also a priority.
