Questionnaire Response
Matt Wiebe - Concordia
Why did you decide to run in the 2011 Manitoba election?
There is no feeling quite like the one you get when you see kids in your neighbourhood enjoying a new splash pad or soccer field that you helped your community secure. But most of all, I love being a part of a community that holds government accountable, that tells us what they want and need. Working hands on with my neighbours is a great reward.
What experience will you bring to compliment your role as MLA?
I have been an active member of my constituency for a long time. I have volunteered for organizations in and around Concordia, including the Keenleyside Outreach Centre, Elmwood/East Kildonan Residents Advisory Committee, Happy Days on Henderson/Take Pride Elmwood, Beautify Elmwood Community Committee and the River East Neighbourhood Network.
Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?
Housing, well-maintained schools, health care & activities to keep our youth busy and out of trouble.
